openorice
I have a 9" auger that takes 3 blades, part number LPD3-PB, and I can't find these blades anywhere. Does anyone know of possible source for these blades?
18 inch Crappie
I have the 2 blade 9" lazer also and they do not make them anymore. You have to send them out to get sharpened. There ia a guy in Ely I talked to yesterday he charges $15 shipped back to you. There is also someone in MI and NY that do this also. Hawg
I had/have one of those too. It was SM's attempt at making an auger with lazer blades that reopened holes about 10-12 years ago. They only sold them for a year or so and found the failure rate on the blades too high. At the time they traded anyone that had that one for any drill they made and actually chopped the kind you have into pieces to be sure they were gone. I still have mine and a set of new blades but the blades can last a long time or go bad on the first hole. Great auger when they worked but even if you find blades you're looking at about $45 and SM when in Big Lake highly recommended not wasting money on resharpening them because any small nick on the curved leading edge ruined them. I think you should do like I did and cut your losses and buy a new chipper drill,or lazer if you like them, for your head unit. You'll be big money ahead if you do. They were an awesome auger when they worked, they just never worked for long.

Did you buy it new?

Sportland_Bait
Depending on how often you need to sharpen blades. It may be a better idea to buy a regular Lazer drill bottom.Jason
