Display Driver?

Lately I have been having the whole screen go black and when it comes back up there is a little pop up note at the bottom LH corner that says: (Display Driver has stopped responding)

What does it mean and what to do? frown

Could have too many programs running in the background may be slowing your PC down or may just need to simply update your display drivers. Have you run any Windows Updates lately? That could update them for you as well. How old is your computer and what version of windows are you running?

Windows 7 PC is like 4 months old? Maybe to many screens up? Thanks.

I would go out the manufacturer's web site of your mother board/display adapter and download the latest and greatest driver.

More than likely a driver update will fix these kinds of issues.

To find out what you're using:

Control Panel>Device Manager>Display Adapters

Expand Display Adapters, right click on your adapter and choose "Properties". Then click on the "Driver" tab. This should show you what version and the manufacturer/provider of your display adapter. From there you can either go to their web site and search for that display adapter driver, download and install it, or click "update driver" and let it search for you on the web.

I was going to say the same thing get the manufacturers driver. Windows drivers aren't always the best.
