AlwaysFishing23
I was looking at the 13 foot rivers edge pack n stack tree stand any one used this stand before?
tracker x-2
I have one and use it regularly. One word of caution though... the foot platform is really small i welded some brackets and installed more wire mesh to extend the foot platform to go further under the seat. gardn184
We use them for rifle season in Wi, great little stand for walking in and setting it up quick. Pretty Comfortable as well
BRULEDRIFTER
Yes, love the stand! Really wish I could buy one more ladder section to get up a little higher though. Wind up using it more than my climber sometimes.
deerminator
I have a couple of them and like them because of their portability. Rarely use them packed up as in the picture, but a guy can break them into a couple pieces and and carry them 1/4 mile pretty easy. I move mine a couple hundred feet whole when I need to move them to get a little closer to where I'm seeing deer. The platforms are tiny. I shoot sitting and usually set them up where I can do so easily and turn to my right to draw easily with my right arm. Good luck.
AlwaysFishing23
I picked up the stand this last weekend put it together in the garage it took about 25 minutes tried it out in the yard I love the stand its comfortable and it is so portable not going back to a climber
BRULEDRIFTER
Climber has it's place. Pack'n Stack is sweet though!
Siwulat
Do you think 13' is high enough? I usually like to climb to at least 20. You will have to let me know how deer react to it. It definitely seems like a sweet setup.
wannafish2
I have stands from 10' to 20' high. Rarely get busted if the deer is over 10 yards out. just gotta move really slow.
B-man715
39 pounds and it only gets you up 13 feet??? Most climbers weigh half that and you can hunt twice as high.... Not to mention the comfort factor of many climbers as well? Not to be a Debby Downer, but imo that stand makes zero sense as a carry in/carry out stand. There is no reason to carry 39lbs in and out of the woods. There are many options that are better suited for mobile hunting. I'd suggest a nice climber (Summit or Lone Wolf) or a nice hang on stand (Millenium or Lone Wolf have nice) with good sticks (lone wolf or similar) or tree steps. Both will get you up over 13', with more comfort, and under 20lbs. *This isn't a knock on ladder stands, they have their place, its just in one spot where you never have to move them. BRULEDRIFTER
Climbers are very limited due to tree sizes. Maybe down in the hardwood forests there are many options, but up north finding that perfect tree to set up in with a climber is a lot of times not easy. This stand is perfect for that skinnier aspen butted up to a cluster of balsam fir or that balsam/spruce tree that is perfect for a stand but would require a ton of illegal pruning to use a climber in. deerminator
Btw, Menards has the sky raider model, the Big Dog equivelant of this stand on sale for $30 in a flyer in the paper today. You could get three easily 15 foot high moveable stands for less than a $100. Good stuff.
