picksbigwagon
interesting, I thought I was being inventive when I started adding ginger to my basic pork rub......what I don't see is cinnamon, that is my "extra" what is that flavor when I put a rub down on pork. eyeguy 54
cool, maybe cinnamon will join the party next time. 1T good for a mix this size?
picksbigwagon
I would go for a half T....that's a pretty overpowering spice. Of course I really never measure it out "exactly" I use the palm of my hand and "shaker" method, but I usually start with 1/2 cup brown sugar, not 1/4 cup..... eyeguy 54
really good. adding 1 tsp cin and 1 tsp cayenne and 1/4 cup sugar.
McGurk
I too thought the sugar might be a bit low at 1/4 cup for the batch (for pork anyways). I tried cinnamon in the past and personally didn't dig it. Good mix otherwise, and I tend to go a similar route when I make my rub, but without the ginger and oregano.
