pushbutton Posted September 12, 2014 Share Posted September 12, 2014 Would assume some type of lycoperdon(sp?) Mostly see them on the ground, but does not seem like much "wood" is left on that log. Similar to the puffballs, well guess there are one, in that make sure they are white inside and since they usually do not grow that big so the "baseball size rule" will apply,probably best to cut it open to see there is not a mushroom forming inside.
