I used mine all last season, and loved it. Very easy to upgrade. Didn't notice any of the problems that the older posts/reviews had. I think if I had it to do over again, I'd go with the 7 just for the screen size, but other than that, I love it. I thought it was a very accurate unit.

My 6 has been awesome. I love it. As said the only thing I was on the fence about was going to a 7 for screen size. If u sit in a house a lot get the 7. If you jump around a lot I would get the 6.

I love the 7 for outside standing up fishing. Easy to view that nice big screen!

I picked up a LX6 at the beginning of this past ice season, logged somewhere around 30 hours on it chasing Walleye and Panfish, it's a great unit and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one or even a LX7. Love the different views and the tight target separation is really nice ( I use the graph mode mostly ) compared to my Humminbird 798, you'll really enjoy it when you fish 2 hooks on the LX6.
