MN Mushroom ID??

Found amongst pines in central MN. I believe I know what it is but what is your take? Thanks for your input!

Amanita muscaria, commonly known as the fly agaric or fly amanita... don't eat it.

Thanks, that was my take as well, Fly Amanita. I won't be eating it, just currious about it.

I have read it is supposedly ok if boiled in salt water for 15 minutes???? Or, can cause you to hallucinate?

I've read that as well, zzammon. I don't think there has ever been a recorded death from eating Amanita Muscaria. The boiling process gets rid of the toxins and you can eat it without fear of hallucinating. I think I'd rather feed it to some of my buddies first and observe, before I try I'd try it myself.

Well, if ya do ever try the muscaria.....you can always go for a second round....by doing this.

Just think NoWiser, after you feed it to your buddies you can drink their pee. Gross.
