Skeeters

Recommended Posts

Took a ride around my archery spots this am and boy were there deer out in the fields. The bugs must be driving them out of the wood's.

Saw 2 does last week in the late morning out in an open field nursing their fawns.

I cannot imagine how they can stand the bugs in the woods.

This is the worst year I have ever seen for skeeters. Checked a couple cameras the other evening and had to run out of the woods. Just terrible.

I agree, checked 3 cameras the other day and I wore a long sleeved shirt and long pants to get the sd cards. Time to get the camera up that sends me the photo's so I do not have to check them, they are very bad, especially in the weed's.

I'm up in NW Minnesota, and they're as bad as I've ever seen this spring, and we haven't even gotten to the real heat of the summer yet!

There is a LOT of standing water in the wooded areas, and marshlands/grasslands are nearly all full of standing water. I'm genuinely concerned that if the weather doesn't start to dry up soon we're going to have the worst mosquito season we've ever seen.

And nowadays we have the diseases that come with lots of mosquitoes to worry about as well. If I had a dollar for every time I've heard someone say this spring, "I don't know why God ever created these things", I'd be a wealthy man!

Went to check 1 of my trail camera and man, I have never seem skeeters like I did this am. I thought it was bad a few weeks ago but that was nothing.

Did have 4 bucks on the camera and 4 photo's of different fawns, some are getting pretty big.
