Terminator Triple Buzzbait

Just a word of caution for those of you using this bait. I had one of my triple terminator buzzbait break in half this weekend. Not on a fish, or I would have been a little po'd. It was on 10 lb. line pulling off a reed, so it could have just as easily been on a fish.

I love the triple blade. They come up to the surface quicker, run slower, and run more vertical. I also like the flexible wire on these, as it does not allow fish to twist-off as easily. Apparently that flexible wire wears after a little use and broke in this case.

Hopefully the leverage bait series will come out with a triple blade buzzbait that I can replace these with eventually. The leverage baits have more of a flexible wire that should hold up better (more like heavy leader material). The terminator is closer to standard buzzbait wire, but it is more flexible.

I was out there with my triple buzzer today, and managed a 16" and an 18" largemouth on them. I was able to "crank" up a 17" largemouth as well. You had to find cover, and surface temps around 60 to get them to bite though.

I've started to really like that triple buzzer, but I've only found one other manufacturer other than Terminator. I don't even know the company name, but it has a shorter frame and is much stiffer. For now I'll stick with the terminator, just have to keep an eye on them after every few fish...

I've been using the Roland Martin Double buzz, well I think that's what it is. I had pretty good days using that thing.

I also have but really haven't used is the Klacker. Anyone use the klacker and had good results. Seems pike like.

I have one of those klackers with the piece of metal that "kalcks" against the blade as it rotates. I wasn't impressed with it when I've tried it - might be another one of those lures to catch the fishermen, not the fish... I will admit though, I haven't given it a fair shot yet.
