Tiny Bass

I just thought I would share that today I went after the smallest largemouths I could catch and I caught about 15 2in bass while dry flyfishing. They are cute when they are that size. The biggest I caught today was about 6in. Sounds kinda weird but it was fun! This evening the northerns came in and were feeding on them. Poor little guys were jumping out of the water trying to get away!

Hmmm, mabye a guy should tie some baby bass pattern streamers and have some fun with pike on the flyrod, eh?

My wife, kids & I were getting tons of those lil' yearlings with a few 12"-14" mixed in. It was my wife's first outing with a rod and when I was packing up to leave I look over and say "One more cast, huh?" and she says "No. One more FISH!". Too funny - she's hooked!

If I had a 7/8wt rod I would be out there chasing those northerns! Building a heavier rod is on my to do list for this winter.
