cheaper sonars?

hi i'm in the market for a cheaper sonar $100-$125 huminbird, lowrance not to hip on eagle had 2 of them didnt even last a year. any way i'm putting them on 2 differnt boats anything out there for that range that will work. i've been using my marcums in the boat with water in a pvc pipe it works but doesn't find fish the best and i'm afraid i'll forget the water in the pvc pipe and get a ticket any thoughts

Dick's Sporting Goods has the lowrance elite 4x on sale for $129.99. Top end of your price range but from reports I've seen, a good unit for that price.
