slick2526
If you have had both which one do you like better? It would be holding mainly number 5 shad raps, some salamo hornets, and some husky jerks.I like how the special mate box holds the lures on flip through cards but I feel like it would still get your trebles tangled all the time. Northlander
I had a BB Box and after getting a special mate box I sold it. I now have 5 special mate boxes and haven't found anything better. I put a chunk of swimming noodle in the front to hold the cards in place when bouncing in big waves. I really like the flipping cards, it makes finding lures easy and if 1 drops down off the card, wich doesn't happen much, you can grab it easy by hand. No need for hemostats or things like that.I have a special mate spoon box and it works just as well for them.Marine General in Duluth carries them and you can also find them online. slick2526
its crucial to keep the cards facing up straight against the top of box right? What size box do you like best?
harvey lee
I have 4 Special Mate boxes. I use the smaller one for the shorter cranks. Best box's I have owned to date.
Borch
I have 2 special mate crank bait boxes, (5" and 8"). Best boxes by far that I've tried. I've had them tip upside down when traveling and usually only 4-10 might move. Nice way to organize your baits.
