Old Lakemsater chips that work in new humminbird units.

Does anyone know for sure if the old lakemaster chips work in these new hummingbird units? I have been told that they work in the 798. How about a 858c or 859ci Hd models? Thank you.

They never worked in my 2 bird units I believe I have a 798 and a 1198 . I use mine in my H20 and purchased new lake master bird chips

If it's a Humminbird Lakemaster chip, I would think it will work in any Humminbird capable of cartography, the newer chips have more features but the old ones ( 2009 - 2010 ???? ), as long as they are branded Humminbird should work.

If it doesn't say Humminbird like the pic below, it wont' work.

Back in the day, Lakemaster also branded their chips for Lowrance and Garmin, you could not swap those cards between manufactures, they had to be used in their branded devices.

yeap. my HDS7 does.

The one I have it is a micro with the SD adapter.
