Garage furnace

I have an 80% efficiency furnace in the garage and a honeywell electronic thermostat. Just now it registered LO and the furnace would not turn on. I warmed it with a hair dryer and it fired up. Is that set up so that a high efficiency furnace wouldn't start with a frozen condensate line?

I'd say low battery as well. Take a warm set of batteries and and try it.

A problem with frozen condense line, one of the vacuum to switch lines, heat exchanger, or just ice somewhere in the furnace would show up in the start up sequence or interrupt the run cycle.

IMO the inducer/exhaust motor would at least turn on. Then again it might have tried and failed then went into lock. A reset by turning the power off then on would be needed. There was a discussion about condensing furnaces used for heating on a non continuous use and freezing.
