Adding Powerhead to Nils 8"

I bought an 8" Nils hand auger last year and love it. Today I stopped in Cabelas in Owatonna and there was a Tanaka powerhead in the Bargain Cave for $237 ... bought it in a heart beat.

My question is, do I need to replace the blade head that came with the hand auger (no powerpoint) with a new blade head that has the powerpoint, or can I just use the one I have now (without powerpoint)?

Kieth, that was a good price on the powerhead and I would have snapped that up in a hurry. You can use any Nils blade with the powerhead and hand auger, they are all interchangeable.

Next your going to ask me what the difference between the two is.

I'll say the most noticeable difference is the price. The PowerPoints cost $10 more.

I hear the powerpoint blades are more of a PITA to sharpen;) You DONT need them. Nice score on the powerhead!
