pulling a boat in wind

I had a grueling drive across southern MN in the wind today and was comforted by the fact that I had the boat strapped to the trailer. Have any of you seen boats blown off the trailer by wind gusts?

No, but I did burn a tranny bucking a head wind while pulling my boat in over drive. Won't do that again.

Started to loose a custom fitted tarp in the wind. Stopped and took it off and had 2 canvas type tie downs broke. Easy fix once I got it back home. Most of the rigs I see sitting along the road seem to have had problems with tires or bearings.

I picked up a 18 ft. tracker, brand new, that blew off a trailer on 35W. for little or nothing.That boat must have rolled over a whole bunch of times, wasn;t a staight piece of alum. any where on it. It had a 115 Merc. on it, that was pretty beat up too, didn;t get that. I had the boat setting in my yard for a couple of months and when anyone who came and noticed it always asked, how sick did it made you when it came off the trailer? Stock answer, I wasn;t sick at all. Then I had to explain why it was in my yard.
