Lx3 to lx6 . Will i be satisfied

Want to upgrade to an lx6. Is flasher size on screen smaller than my lx3 flasher?

How are they in sunlight. Going to sell my lx3. Hope i dont regret it.

You will wonder why you didn't do it sooner. The flasher size is close and I have no glare issues. When using it I take off clear protective cover. You have lots of options to customize the screen and display settings to what you want. Go for it. I run lx7 and love it! Had lx5 wouldn't go back.

Ive been debating the same thing.. I'm not convinced by handy dandy lx3 is inferior.. talk me into it (lx6). are the other screens actually useful in the sense of catching fish? is it bulkier to carry around?

I don't find it to be any bulkier then my lx5 I had.Tthey are about the same weight. I will gladly carry my 7 around. I read some guys have there old flasher for hole hopping I see no point...I didn't buy it to have it sit in a shack. Having different screens on at once is great. You can have your whole flasher on and it will use the whole dial for whatever depth you are at so that gives great separation and detail. Then you can have graph mode on with it to show history of what just happened or a vertical zoom. Having 6 color pallet or option of different colors gives you exactly the display you want. Upgrades are free and easy. You would enjoy having it. I also run mine in my boat with my HDS5.

Does a cable used for the upgrades come with it?

I have a LX3 and FL-8 i will be getting rid of. I decided to keep my showdown fir a second unit. It is nice for hole hopping as well.

No cable but odds are you have 2-3 already. Standard USB you use with your cell, camera ect...

The LX-6 is a perfect all around unit, you will see once you use it a while most people don't even use the flasher anymore. The vertical zoom view comboed graph display tells you everything you need to know with plenty of screen real estate left to spare.

once you get the point where you are changing settings to match the type of fishing you are doing, you will never look back. whether fishing shallow weeds, deep structure, schools of fish, fish off the bottom, etc.

I don't think you will catch any more fish nor will you notice a difference in target separation and line thickness. That being said, I wouldn't go back, now that I have an LX-7.

The unit being completely silent is worth a lot

Yeah - the silence is the most under-rated feature of the new digital flashers - love it!

DO IT! Quiet and much more flexible as far as settings. I have the 6 and also a 3 and 5. Im a big flasher guy so I really like my 5 but now that I have the 6 Im finding the more I play with the settings the more I like it. If you can afford it DO IT!

I did the same thing I converted last year from the LX-3tc to the new LX-6 and it was the best thing that I ever did. I absolutely love the LX-6 and there isn't anything you cant do with this thing. The picture quality is fantastic and having a 6 color option for the flasher makes a big difference. You cant hear it at all once it is on which use to bother me with the mechanical flashers and free updates from the mfg are very easy to do. I use the flasher and vertical zoom on my screen at the same time. And I also love the 2 different cone settings by just the push of a button. I will NEVER go back to the mechanical flashers again but I did keep my LX-3TC as a second flasher just in case I bring someone who doesn't have one.
