500 vs. 800 for ice fishing

I've been saving money for some time and have a pick between a late 90's model SkiDoo 500 and late 90's model SkiDoo 800, both 2ups. Both have low miles and have been cared for impeccably. The price point between the two isn't so far away as to cause me too much hardship, but I thought I would ask the question to the more experienced snowmobilers...for towing a sled and occasionally a second angler, imagine the worst conditions possible...should I have any problem with a 500 instead of the 800? Other things I should consider?

I have a Indy 500 and never had any trouble with power but then again it's not a 2 up, but have had 2 people on it and where pulling three otters with a third person in one of the otters on l.o.w with no problems, the snow wasn't real deep .if you use common sense the 500 will be fine. if you hit deep slush on the lake your done. As for the others my next sled will have reverse and maybe a long track.
