Nisswa area lodging???

Thinking about trying the nisswa area this winter for a family sled trip, has anyone ever stayed at the nisswa motel? I heard its right on the paul bunyan trail, dont need a high dollar resort,just a decent place to spend a few nights with wife and kids.

If you want really cheap and just a warm place to stay. White Gables Motel next to SW bait on 371 before Nisswa.

Um, I would stick with Nisswa . If you plan to ride the PB trail I assume you know it's a nonstudded trail? Icecold depending where your driving from Nisswa is good or go just a little bit further north to Walker/Akeley area. I rode up that way twice and it was awesome and better trials that don't get as much traffic as the Brainerd Lakes area. I live and sled in the lakes area and ride Brainerd south to St. Mathias, to Fort and around back north. Yeah it's a bar run but don't all trails lead to a bar? All seriousness Nisswa will service you very well.
