ok my wife and i have decided against a permanant house of any kind. we have a pop up and 2 single houses. we are thinking about a 2 person house the pop up is nice but its a pain in wind and takes more time to put up etc. our only draw back with a 2 person is weight either one of use can lift alot. what are your thoughts. i havent had a 2 person flip over i have looked at several used ones and most are always ripped up and they want a fortune. so we are thinking new thanks

Are you looking for something that is thermal insulated? Clam has quite a few options that would suit your needs. You can go full thermal, thermal cap, or uninsulated. You also have the option of bench seat or padded seats. Most are going to come in at under 100 lbs. Take a look on their HSOforum and locate a dealer to take a look in person. I would also highly suggest attending the Portable Modification event at Thorne Bros this weekend. They will have models set up to make your decision easier.

There are many houses out there. Just depends on what your budget will allow and how comfortable you want to be when out fishing. I like the Canvas Craft houses but they are spendy and a little heavy, Otter is good too but also spendy. Clam has houses for any budget and they have a lot of accessories available to go with their houses. You may want to wait for the ice fishing show in December if you can't make it to the GTG. There are lots of houses to check out and you can get some great deals there too.

about the lightest 2 man flip over type house would be the Clam Nanook. the full thermal model weighs 85 pounds and the non thermal version weighs in at 80 pounds. most of the weight of this come from the seat frames and the seats them self.

Many nice houses out there but for me its Otter all the way. Best built houses out there and I would argue the warmest. With the new 1200 thermal out this year they will be TOASTY.

They arent the lightest houses but if you want one you will have for many years look at the Otters.
