Bear55
Now you triple jinxed us by first jinxing us and then commenting on my jinx comment, we are screwed. Ya Brodin has been a little off this year, hopefully just a minor sophomore slump. All the D seem to be struggling a bit, a Brodin/Scandella 2nd pair looks great on paper but I think they need to go back and ride Suter/Brodin in the playoffs. Scandella and Spurgie can hold their own. Prosser/Stoner in limited minutes can as well.
Bear55
Anyone have Mike Yoe's phone number? I want to call in some playoff lines for us to use. Parise Granlund Pommers (Obvious) Mouslon Koivu Fontaine (K & M can carry that line) Nino Haula Coyle (Beast Kid Line) Cooke Brodziak Heatley/McCormick (First Line in 2012 )
CaptainMusky
Bear, I like the interjecting of Fontaine in the lineup. The kid has some talent and it would be nice to see him break back into a game and that wouldnt be a bad experiment.Personally Nino, Haula and anyone else would be a very good third line. Even Heatley there should get some good chances. Plant his rump in front of the net and let the young pups dig it out of the corner. He does have a problem keeping up though so end to end rushes he better get a two line head start.

fishing tech
Brodin has been off since the puck to the face. The shield is hard to get use to for some players. He and Suter do play so well together. It would be nice if Zucker could figure out how to be a 2 way player, but Ovechcin has yet so there might not be any hope.I think we will ride Kuemper unless we play back to back. Bear55
Cooke Brodziak McCormick I'm cool with that too but when Heatley is on the 4th line he amazing starts to hustle and seems more determined to create offense and even use his linemates. He hasn't been all that bad of late, but still will be happy when he is gone.
10,000 Casts
Heatley has even laid some nice hits on a few guys in the last 2 games but he is still a disaster and he takes some looooooong shifts. I'd rather they put out a hard playing banger that can mix it up and get off the ice. With Cooke chirping, McCormick playing hard and Brodziak off in la la land, it makes a solid 4th line.. OnAFly
Heater is gonna be on the ice for the rest of the year. If Yeo didn't sit him before, he surely won't now. Ballard over Stoner tonight. I'd have had him sit with Russo for a couple games to think about what he did in DAL and his general play in the second half.
Bear55
[PoorWordUsage] was that! Kemper hasn't been is sharp, D is kind of a mess. PP is useless. Ugg going to try and just forget that happened. Couple more bad games like that and the post trade deadline slump will become a tradition. Oh and just about every team chasing us won last night. OnAFly
Why is Granlund not on the 5-3PP still? It bit us last game, it bit us this game. Yeo needs to adjust a little to how his team is playing on a certain night. If Haula is creating chances left and right, give him more time. If Granlund is the best playmaker on a given night, put him on the GD PP!How did he not call a timeout after the second goal? Clearly the team was holding on for dear life. Haula and Granlund were having chances all over the place. Haula needs to see more ice time. What a major disappointment last night.I wouldnt say Kuemper played bad, but we totally let off the gas. The penalty riddled 2nd is what did them in. Coyle had two costly penalties and it totally ruined their flow.

cjac
That was brutal....add insult to it with Hall getting the game winner. Someone needs to be a leader on the bench in the 3rd period and sound the wake up call. Side note: Jagr gets game winner and Brodeur gets the win for New Jersey. These guys are from the 1990 draft class. That's just amazing.....
Bear55
Seriously we need a Nino Haula Coyle line! Did you guys see Coyle and Nino paired in the OT, they near won the game and were all over the ice.
OnAFly
We need a coach with the gonads to tell his veteran players, "others are playing better right now, so your ice time is going to diminish." Koivu is not the problem, Yeo defaulting to him in every situation is.+1 to the Coyle - Haula - Nino line. Coyle is so good along the boards and protecting the puck in general. Nino and Haula are just tenacious at getting to the puck to the net.
Bear55
Sounds like Fletcher will be getting an extension soon, I like it, he's earned one!

If that means changing his tone, calling some players out, getting a little pi$$ed off then so be it. Might as well start the pressure now so they are at a diff level come first round; these late season swoons are way to amateur IMO.
OnAFly
Agreed on Fletcher. He's only made a couple bad moves (Leddy trade, Backstrom resign value/length), but many very good ones. On Yeo, he was quoted as saying something to the affect of "I don't look backwards on the playoff race. The games ahead are what matters, not who is behind us in the standings." May not be an exact quote, but that was the intent. I don't know how he can say that. They lay down and die in the 3rd of a game against the worst team in the West who is down by 2 goals when they have two teams right behind them winning games left and right. Yeah, time to use some of that "look behind us in the standings" as motivation. You want to make it in, you better not lose to teams like EDM. Totally agree on starting the pressure now. Whether they think so or not, this is the playoffs for them.
10,000 Casts
Brodziak is a BUM! He just doesn't seem to care.. He took a lazy penalty in the first and the Rangers tied it up and then he takes a stupid penalty when they're up by 1 with 3 minutes to go..All I have to say about Yeo is 35-22-9. I think he deserves a little length on his leash.
fishing tech
Fontaine on the 4th would make that line fun to watch. The Wild need a D man that can bang some bodies. And the whole team is going to need to start finishing checks if they want a chance in the playoffs. To many skate buy's.
OnAFly
This team needs to stop 'playing not to lose' every time they are up with 10 left in the third. They were really not allowing play in their zone coming up to that. Afterwards, it was ten minutes of the 'lets see how fast the opposing d-men can get the forecheck going again after we just flip the puck out instead of a real breakout' game. You want to lose a hockey game, play ten minutes straight in your zone.
10,000 Casts
agreed on the little 3/4 dump outs.. They just don't work. Good thing Kuemper was solid in the third.

Behind you 100% on Brodz, as far as Yeo, wonder what his last 25 game record is since being with the Wild....it's how you finish that counts IMO and based on the recent past...if we fail to at least advance through the first round I'd bring in a new coach with a new philosophy. My hopes are we WIN THE CUP but I am not betting on it.
PierBridge
Good thing Kuemper was solid in the third. Brutal stretch/s in the 3rd As my old HS coach use to say to us often you guys look like your running around out there with your heads chopped off....followed by expletives upon expletives
bbfenatic
Is the "Trade Deadline" past yet? Keumper's "hot streak" has come and gone; Koivu for a decent goalie not so outlandish now. Hopefully Keumper can find the zone again soon.....this is getting interesting!
