Lining inside of house

I have an old 4x7 that I am breathing new life into. It's aluminum on the outside and foam-lined inside with slate around the walls near the wood stove as a heat barrier. The foam has some sort of fiberglass mesh covering that was tacked over it (flexible, plastic-like) that was painted black, but it's all cracked and chipped and paint is flaking terribly. For that reason, I don't care to repaint it, but I want to restore the all black interior. What are my "lining" options? Black plastic? A friend of mine did that and it seemed to work well. Tar paper? Would this be safe if heated or not? In either case it wouldn't go up very close to the stove, but I can still get the heat rocking with the wood stove and I'm too naive to know if heated tar paper releases any toxins? Other options? Must be cheap, lightweight, and safe. Thanks in advance, guys.

Black plastic might condensate and tar paper may get to smelly when hot , I think I would try some of the landscaping fabric ,the kind that you put under the rocks so weeds don't grow threw.

If safe includes fire proof it gets tough. I've never tried lighting old dried out landscape fabric on fire, so don't know how that goes, but I am just gonna assume it goes up in flames just like everything else cheap and lightweight. I use tin behind my wood stove and have used black fabric stapled to the walls.

I don't mean safe as in "fire proof"...just safe as in "when it gets hot in the fish house it doesn't turn the wall covering to toxic fumes." I have plenty of fireproof wall coverage behind the stove.

I live in Grand Rapids, but my great aunt/great uncle lived in Spring Lake for many years. Great area around there!
