federal and state stamp

once these stamps come in the mail, do you need to put them on your license? Something i've always wondered but wasn't sure so I figured i'd get it cleared up before the season starts

Yes you need to put them on your license and sign your name across the face of them in ink. Unless you paid the extra 2 bucks to get a physical state stamp, you should only be getting the federal in the mail. Your state one is just listed on your license, that way green jeans sees you bought both stamps.

I believe with the fed you have X number of days to have it on your license. Up until then the blue paper you get from sporting goods store is all you need. I've been checked a couple of times in NoDak (both federal and state wardens) and my fed waterfowl paper from Gander was no problem.

The stamps do not have to be attached to the license. It must be with you and signed in ink across the face.
