Sucker Minnows

Looks like larger sucker minnows are gonna be a commodity this winter in East Central MN... I was talking to the bait supplier and they had several ponds freeze out last winter... I hope the find a source before the winter season!!!

If anyone has a tank that will last till winter I know a ton of spots to catch suckers lol

I put down a shiner or two last winter but 99% of the time I just use fakes its hard to find big suckers here in Michigan, I know a few guys that special order the big ones and keep them in tanks all winter.

I know a bait store that has 7-9 inch golden shiners but I don't know if he'll have them this winter

I have a walk in lake I perch and trout fish that has a golden problem we catch goldens between 6 and 12" out there we bring home a couple dozen in a day of fishing, and they are a lot hardier, then store bait, but we only made the trip once last year.

You could always catch and freeze those suckers too. They will work.

Dorkfish I have the means to keep a lot of suckers until freeze up but you have to catch them and bring them up. Those big Goldie's are awesome on my favorite lake under tip ups for big pike.
