I Pilot best matching trolling motor???

DGTAYLO

Question

I am looking to replace my existing trolling motor with a new Minnkota with I pilot. I have a 1775 Pro V. I currently have a maxxum 65 lbs thrust and is 52" long. My step sons trolling motor went on the fritz so looking to upgrade my boat so he can get my current one. Great excuse to upgrade. I am looking for more thrust as I fish rivers frequently and need the additional power. I currently have Lowrance sonar/GPS and do not plan on getting the Hummingbird. I do not know what motors work with the I Pilot so looking for some help. Any suggestions on what/where to buy my new toy? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

You don't need to buy a new sonar unit. I just bought a new I-Pilot, Terrova from a store in Walker. Installed in a couple minutes. The I-Pilot Link runs with the Hbirds. Really love the auto features built into this unit. The shaft length and power is up to you.

24 volt 80 lb unit with a 54" shaft would be nice for that rig. If you must have a foot pedal, go with the Terrova with ipilot. Otherwise the v2 with ipilot. Lots of guys never use the foot pedal once they get a motor with ipilot, but some do.

Only get to choose from 45" or a 60" with the 80# Terrovas.

Do you have the quick attach bracket on your current motor? If so just put it on the new motor. If not, I am fairly certain the holes will line up. I would strongly consider putting a quick attach bracket on if you do not have one currently.
