Redlantern
Bacon lasts a decent amount of time. Hashbrowns from the potato section of the grocery store. They come in a milk carton looking container, powdered eggs bought from Cub, found in the baking section. Blocks of cheese, Hard Rolls, freshly caught fish cooked on a bed of sliced carrots, topped with onions, butter buds and dill weed (wrapped in your favorite foil), chicken wings, grilled anything. You don't mention what your camp includes. Are you BWCA camping, state park camping or have electricity available?
amateurfishing
our first time ever camping I thought wife did a great job of mixing traditional with different, we did the hot dogs n smores but also"walking tacos" pre made frozen chili, your favorite fixins, & your favorite "lunch size" snack chips (doritos, etc) heat up chili, add to bag of chips, n finish with ur favorite fixens, just add your silverwarealso did chix quesidillas in foil (flour tortilla, cheese, diced chick, black beans, tomatoes, or whatever you like), fold tortilla in half and wrap in aluminum foil, seal well and put directly on fire, it worked great & everyone truly loved it, also gives quesadilla unique smokey flavoralso did eggs on griddle for breakfast, totally awesome,....warm bacon bits on griddle (brings out flavor and remaining grease coats griddle pan), add egg easy (pre done pasteurized liquid eggs in carton), when half cooked add favorite ingredients, (tomatoes, onions, shredded cheese, hash browns, etc) & mix slowly together until all completely cooked. easily one of most flavorful breakfasts of healthy fresh food and kids all wanted seconds (I was very surprised) they enjoyed this more than instant flavored oatmeal! rupprider
Pick yourself up a reflector oven... Handmade pizza is a huge hit every time we do it.
