4th of July Campground??

Just bought our new 28' travel trailer and looking for a place to go for the 4th!! Does anyone have some suggestions where they have good fireworks and maybe swimming for the kids??

We used to go to Itsasca State Park over the 4th and run into Park Rapids for their fireworks show. Camping and show were both excellent. Getting a spot in Itasca at this point might be difficult but worth a try if interested.

If you go to any state one for the 4th you better have put in for it by now!

You could try the Devil's Track Campground on Devil's Track Lake, just up from Grand Marais. You could go into town for the fireworks and the campground has a decent little beach for swimming.

Also in that area is the Two Island Lake Campground and Cresent Lake.

Also, look up the MN State Parks and do a quick search for the ones that have a swimming beach and are close to towns that would have fireworks. There are several that would fit your bill and have openings.

All of the State parks also have a first come first serve campsites as well but you better plan on getting there a couple of days early and be in line for them

May want to check some resorts in areas you are interested in. I can find a lot of open campsites due to cancellations.
