When I run my Lowrance H2oc on the external cord plugged into 12 volts, it indicates it is running on external power but still uses up the batteries; it will shut off once the batteries get low, then I replace the batteries, and it works again. It will not turn on with the batteries out and plugged into the cord. I measured the voltage on the cord, it is putting out 3.5 volts. Any ideas?

Nice to finally meet you tonight. Make sure you tell me who you are again next time you come in. I will probably forget.
Let me know when you are dropping in again and I'll make sure we have more of those beverages around!

Good luck.
