Was over at my folks on Saturday and there was a doe in the backyard that would not leave. She was pretty irritated as we noticed that there were also 2 Coyotes that were hanging around and would not leave too. They must have known that this little guy was hiding. There was 2 fawns on Thursday and as of today my Dad has only seen one with Mom, guessing those Yotes picked one off..

Way way too many slim, heard a pack of coyotes 2 nights ago and they were nearly in my yard, I'm thankful they make as much noise as they do so the does can get an idea at least sometimes a bit where they're at etc. I had farmers tell me last summer some don't think 50% of the fawns survive at their places because of the coyotes. The mild winter was bad on coyote hunting, this last winter now the guys got over 50 coyotes so that should help those fawns have a better shot at surviving this spring, but still plenty of yotes to go around, plus we have t-wolves running through, I wish they'd take out more yotes, I think the yotes just hide from them. Like that fawn picture ! smile

Awesome picture. It just amazes me that they are odorless. A couple years ago while walking my dog I came upon one lying under a bush on the edge of the field. My dog was standing 2 feet from it and never even noticed it. Pretty cool.
