Public Access Question

Dock or no dock I'll find a way to put my boat in somewhere on shore that has public access. If no dock the shoes get pulled off and the jeans get pulled up dump it in. Let's go fishin

Thats a good question, but as I think about it I cannot think of any lake I fish that has a public access that doesnt have a dock. I remember 15 years ago or so that wasnt the case, but now I cannot think of any. At least ones that are maintained by the DNR.

All DNR landing I know of have docks. All county landings (access) that I know of don't.

I fish a few smaller lakes that have a DNR launch, but no dock. Maybe it is driven by the acreage of the lake?

Blue lake in princeton/zimmerman has 2 accesses and one has a dock the other does't...both are public and the funny thing is the one used more often is the one without a dock...

On the lake I am on the DNR or State owned access has a dock the other accesses are owned by the township like 6 of them and they are public accesses as well, but with no dock and the reason for no dock is a insurance liability issue and that is what we were told by the township. That may have some bearing when it comes to a county owned leased by the state access.

To find out what access is what call the county or the DNR and ask them about it.
