Craigums
Who went out? Were did you fish and how did you do? Our club had a tournament on Trade. 10 boats and EVERYONE Zeroed! We've got some good sticks in the club too! 38*F water temps at launch time. It was brutal out there.
RawHog
I fished Cedar for 12 hours, had 2 bites and boated one smallie on a jig on a crib in 7 fow at about 11 a.m. The other 2 groups I talk to had no bites all day regardless of species intent. Water temps started the day at 39 and ended at 45.
Nick Kuhn
I got 5 of them, all between 15" and 16.5". Got them very shallow in last year's pad stems. My guess is they were just trying to keep warm as the other end of the lake was still ice covered.
RawHog
^ not bad, sometimes fishing is all about just one or a few bites!
beeflover
hey nick I've seen that bite too. I think in that dark tannin WI water especially the north sides of lakes I think the fish are a little warmer on those pad kneesmakes sense it would be the warmest water on the lake, maybe some bait in there too
turn_in_poachers
I was out Sunday and it was freezing in the morning. Stuck around until 10am until it warmed up a little and caught them pretty good. Caught eight bass, mostly 3lbers and one fat 5.8lber in a span of 30 mins, then it shut off. Couldn't complain though.
