Have you sprayed the bunks with silicone? Have you tried powerloading? Cabela's (and lots of other places) has a variety of winches with different weight capacities and gear ratios.

How much extra rope or strap do you have on the winch spool?Cut it down too just what you need and a little extra. The closer to the spool that he rope or strap is ,the easier the boat winches.

On a heavy boat I switched to a 2 speed hand winch the low speed was alittle slower but you could use one hand to operate. Once you got the boat up on the trailer aways you could switch to higher speed for the rest of the way.

+1 on the siliconing of trailer bunks. Bring a can of silicone with you next time you launch, fish for a couple hours then come back to ramp and spray down your dry bunks. Go fishing for a couple hours to let it dry. You will be surprised how much easier it loads! Be careful the 1st time you unload though and keep it hooked till it all the way down the ramp. 1 treatment will last the season.
