That's stuff is "real country music", over 90% of the so called country music today, you can hardly call country. With the current trend in country music, nobody will be "able to fill those shoes". RIP George Jones.

Yep, that song nailed it. Once Kid Rock hit the scene, you pretty much knew traditional country music was history. He must have had some real dirt on somebody in an upper level position to allow him to hit the scene and make it on the different country events. Hardly any of the "good ole boys or girls" are hardly even seen or mentioned on the award shows. George Strait might get a little air time on the shows, but he has to be dying inside with what has happened to country music. Oh ya, old fish lips (Reba) gets some face time also!

Man, now ole George is gone too. One of the true giants of country music. I'd love to write a book on all of George's exploits, but sadly, most of his old buddies are gone too. Godspeed to ya Possum!
