Bedliner to replace carpet

anyone ever do this? Put in a bedliner type coating for their floor instead of carpet/vinyl? I know straight black wouldnt work because of the heat, but a gray or lighter color? I'll probably have to replace the carpet with vinyl or maybe bedliner in the future, maybe next year, just curious...

I have seen it done, the one thing I did not like about it was how rough it was on the bare feet and it heated up pretty good but that was a not on carpet just on the floor of a 14' aluminum but it was better than bare aluminum. There is a marine coating that is meant for boats that is like a bedliner but special for marine wood. That is supposed to hold up very good.

If you look at the Crestliner's they use a similar product but it is tinted green. It was some thick stuff and it was not slippery when wet. They used it on several different models.

We've been using a product at the boat shop that is tintable and can be speckled with a second color. We've done it on quite a few boats now, and the customers just love it. Not too hot on the feet, matches the outside paint scheme, and isn't too rough on the feet. Just enough to not slip.
