transom tie downs?

got a new trailer the hole for the tie down is on the lights. a regular gun whale tie down wont work it would crack the light i believe it is set for transom tie downs. i got a set i went from the handles on the corner of the boat down to the trailer they seem snug and tight will this actually hold the boat enough. never had tie downs like this so i thought i would ask. will the handles on the boat be ok they seem tough and snug thanks

Those are definitely for transom tie downs. If your boat has handles it must be a light boat and if the handles are well mounted it should be OK. A pic would really help answer the question

Check out Boat Buckles. They ratchet down and are permanently attached to the trailer.

I have them on my boat and wouldn't use anything else. They are the easiest and most convenient tie-downs I have ever owned.

My boat came with transom tiedowns as you've described. They work just fine. However, if I needed to buy new I would definitely get the Boat Buckles
