Johan is out for the season due to the same shoulder injury that caused him to miss the 2011 season, and his career is likely over for good. He was going to be a free agent at the end of this season...sounds like the twins will be signing him in 2014

The Twins got rid of him at the perfect time. Proof that big money players don't always work out. I feel bad for Johan. He seemed like a genuinely good guy.

I know we got nothing in return for Santana but I still think we got the better end of the trade. I'd rather have nothing versus a broken down pitcher that costs us $25 million a year. With that $25 million we can sign 5 broken down pitchers instead.
