Alagnak
As much as I like having lights on my tip ups (and still do on some occasions) I've pretty much went away from them. I seemed to have tried every kind under the sun over the years- some work, some don't, most all take batteries or something that's going to run out, short out, get wet, or eventually break. There's one thing I always have with- a good flash light or better yet a hand held spot light. I use the reflective material off of safety vests and sew/glue onto the flags. You can see that stuff a long ways away, and it's kept a few of mine from getting run over from machines at night too. At least it's a back up for when the lights dump out. lol
dan z
I'll have to keep that in mind. I have a 6p that'll make that stuff glow big time. Great tip.
kerryd15
Look up lighthouse spinning tip up light. Pretty cool seeing the light spin at night when line is going out.
fishing tech
I use the 27 led work lights from that harbor store. Under $3 and they come with batteries. I use rechargeable batteries in mine. What I do is put the light by the flag so you can see the orange glow. When you look and don't see the orange glow you know you have a flag up. It is also nice to have the light when you catch a fish or for packing up. The Batteries they came with lasted all season.
