I'm looking for some lights that you guys have created or thought of. I have a couple tip ups that I need lights for. I thought of using some twist on/off go leds. But can't seam to find anymore of them. Any tips or tricks are appreciated.

As much as I like having lights on my tip ups (and still do on some occasions) I've pretty much went away from them. I seemed to have tried every kind under the sun over the years- some work, some don't, most all take batteries or something that's going to run out, short out, get wet, or eventually break. There's one thing I always have with- a good flash light or better yet a hand held spot light. I use the reflective material off of safety vests and sew/glue onto the flags. You can see that stuff a long ways away, and it's kept a few of mine from getting run over from machines at night too. At least it's a back up for when the lights dump out. lol

I use the 27 led work lights from that harbor store. Under $3 and they come with batteries. I use rechargeable batteries in mine.

What I do is put the light by the flag so you can see the orange glow. When you look and don't see the orange glow you know you have a flag up. It is also nice to have the light when you catch a fish or for packing up. The Batteries they came with lasted all season.
