i called vexilar up and asked them about a cigarette lighter charger they said no i was woundering why..and if anyone know if they are going to make one..

To charge a 12 volt battery from a 12 volt lighter output requires more circuitry than a charger for a phone or gps which only have like 3 volt batteries.

A 12V DC-AC power inverter would work. Different models have battery clip & cigarette lighter connectors. I use one for several different applications - cpap machine off a deep cycle battery when camping or hunting, 110V cell ph. charger or laptop in the car, etc. I'd recommend at least a 400V model.

There should be 14.5+ volts when the vehicle is running. That's enough to charge a 12.5 volt depth finder battery.

I built a set-up on my own so I can recharge if needed.

I bought one at gander last year. It saved my butt at LOW. Not sure who made it.

I've also seen them at a sports show about 3 years ago. So I know they are being made. A freind of mine purchased one at that show. Sorry, don't remember what booth it was at. Do an internet search.

I got mine from Clam. It is actually fairly cheap on their HSOforum.

Yes that would work if you want to run the vehicle while charging.

You do not need to run the veical, the batterys will equal out. I do this when ever I need to. Just get a cig.liter plug, wire and two alig. clips, the center of the cig. liter is plus.
