Would you buy a used Auger bit or only new for Strikemaster?

I went to a service center yesterday. I was looking for a new Strikemaster lazer 8 inch bit but they only had used left for $30 less then brand new ones. Would you consider buying used for only $30 less than new?

What would be the concern with used?

It's used.

I'm sure they will warranty it just the same as a new bit.

If I had a choice I would pony up for a new one but it looks like they only have used so you really don't have a choice, unless you went someplace else. If there is a warranty than go for it. If not I would pass.

For $30 I'l buy a new one. Lots cheaper on the auction site or that guys list.

If you can wait.. I would wait until next season. All the drill units you are gonna find this season are gonna be the "China made ones" so take a pass on it .
