Bureaucrat
In an attempt to keep this forum alive I thought i'd post some guesses on the ice conditions around Waubay. Prepare for my best guess on what is happening up there backed up by absolutely no evidence:Last weekend the news reported 16+ inches around Webster, Waubay, and the surrounding area. I have to imagine that much snow dumping on the lake has done one of two things: *Settled on the ice, pushed the ice down, water up, and now we've got 12+ inches of slush/water on top of the ice.*Blown around on the ice, and now there are massive drifts around the lake creating the same situation described in the previous baseless observation. Either way, this is the best posting i've seen in this forum in two weeks.

rundrave
Call and talk to Dough at Sportsman Cove in Webster and he can give you up to date ice conditions and probably help put you on some fish also.good luck
Jarrod32
Many of the lakes are getting some traffic and some paths/trails are being established. Use caution, though, as it is easy to get stuck if you get off the path...
