What if you buy the Lifetime license while a resident and then you happen to move out and away from the State of Minnesota? Are you still covered under the license to fish here in MN then when you return to visit or later return to reside here?

We have purchased lifetime sportsman license for both our grandsons. Had to hurry to get it for the one yr old. About $180 in savings. Great gift so they'll always remember gramps and gramma

I've also looked into it, however it is individual only, cannot be a combination husband wife. So I just buy the family license each year.

I'm just going to pay the DNR yearly even if I don't save money. Figure they can put the money to good use on a yearly basis.

bturck - that's the same reson I'm not getting one. Would love to have a combo sportsman option. I don't mind purchasing each year. But, I would love to take advantage of the lower prices for my second kid lifetime fishing, but it'll be a month or so too late.

Well just pulled the trigger - Sportsman's, Deer firearms, and archery.

Figured I have the money now and who knows about the future. The bank is paying 1% on CD's

Now I can be broke in the future - but still go fishing, something to look forward to.

Age 35 - I'm thinking by 50ish I'll be fishing for free. now kicking myself I didn't buy 5 years ago.....

smart move I almost did the same but im very sure im going to be moving in the next couple years and I dont know how much hunting I will do when i come back. I did send in of the fishing last week. Thanks for starting this thread

Well, got it taken care of today. Sports for myself and 3 year old son and angling for the wife. By doing it today vs tomorrow saved $544.
