Black Betty 6061/EC straight line reels

I sold all of my extra's, the BB 6061 & EC inline. Why? I still own one of each and they've been great. But I cant help thinking how much better or improvements the reels will be next year as well as selection.

mine should be here today! interested to see what it is all about!!!! what line are you guys using on these?? using backing??? going to mainly use it for gills and perch!

Yup! Let some time pass, more ideas be generated and more flaws uncovered and fixed, and we'll have some more affordable and better quality inline multiplier reels.

Close the backside of the reel! It is impossible to pencil grip a rod and use either the 6061 or the EC.

Tighten things up a bit. There is still quite a bit of play in the braking system. Too much for my liking!

Little better drag is all I can ask for, I pencil grip my rods and no issues with the 6061....

Pencil griping the handle works fine. Palming/pencil like with a fly reel, not so much...

A wider range of adjustment on the drag would be nice - its hard to adjust while fighting a fish. A little birdie told me the next run of them would have this...

I agree. The drag needs to be tighter/ more range. It comes loose way to easily (EC).

Jay, most of my customs either have a 3" handle or a split grip. This doesn't leave much room to pencil grip the handle.

After talking with the guys at 13 Fishing, it sounds like there will be some changes to be expected on the next run!
