mplsplayer
Its a scam. Happened to both me and my wife last year at the Ice Show. It think you actually get the trip but by the time all the fees add up its about what you would pay to have booked it yourself.

blackdog1101
I had a similar situation several years ago, but mine was they wanted me to try out their time share resort for free if I would agree to meet with one of their salespeople. Not a "scam," but I wasn't interested in meeting with some high pressure salesman either.

nofishfisherman
For those of who got calls saying you won the trip did you enter any sort of drawings? Just wondering how they collected your contact information. If you entered a drawing I suppose your info is fair game but if you signed up for something with a vendor and they sold your info then it would be nice to know which vendor may be doing it. I'd be sure to avoid them in the future. When I was in Cabo a couple years ago I ended up chatting with a couple who got caught up in a similar scam. The woman was pretty naive and clicked on one of those web banners that flash saying "you are the lucky winner, click here to redseem your prize". When I talked to her she still couldn't figure out why it was so hard for her to book the trip she had won. It was sort of sad listening to her tell the story. I just couldn't believe she was that naive on the way of the world. Luckily for her she was able to get a trip but it did end up costing her a decent amount of money and it took months and months of phone calls and emails to get it figured out. Sad part is she still thinks she was lucky for "winning" the trip.
