my buddy just got one we are getting our stuff ready for morning.and i see a sticker that says this side up.can you lay it on it side? as my wheeler bracket will not let me set it so the sticker is up.thats why i was wondering if you could lay it on its side? please help i dont want to wreck his new auger

I talked to the Jiffy rep at one of the recent ice fishing shows and he said they can be laid down with the muffler facing down. I hauled mine that way today and did not have any oil leaking issues

You could also lay it with the black box facing up. It is the same side as the fill/drain hole.

I figure this must be true or people won't be doing it.I call Jiffy and I suppose to cover there butt they said spark plug up only way, wonder why they won't say way above is OK??

I've had mine since they came out...I try to always put it down the way you're suppossed to, but sometimes I forget, or a buddy lays it down wrong, etc...No leaking at all to this point, I think they just try to ward off potential problems.

They will leak oil and not run right if not laid down per instructions. Found out hard way. Otherwise love it just have to be careful when transporting.
