Love2Cabin
I would be interested in hearing about what people have to say about this as well. I have a 4 year laser mag xpress that is good but better would be a nice option. Thanks
DarthBaiter
does it come with chinese made blades. HA! Most likely
slurpie
I think the auger is good drilled 60 holes with one this weekend it's a decent unit. It turns the blade slower vthan I expected but cuts well. It was quiet to run and seemed light. If I was to get a strike master that would be the auger. If your worried about the lades run them till they are dull and get other ones. I run a nils and don't think I'll ever buy another unless I run it over. Crappyfisherman
I have a Nils and I did run it over. Layed it next to my truck and forgot to pick it up. dragged it about 20 feet. Scrapped up the handle a little but thats it,runs fine. Built like a tank.
Love2Cabin
Thanks, that is what I was looking for was someone that actually has used one. Did it run ok cold or does it take a couple of minutes to get it warmed up first? When it is -25 those 2 minutes can seem like forever. My xpress really doesn't like to drill until it warms up. After the first hole or 2 it is fine.
BartmanMN
I have a strikelite. It is always recommended to let gas powered 4 strokes warm up a bit before running them.
slurpie
Every auger I use I will let warm up. There is some other little thing to do while I wait so to me it's no big deal, just start it when I get to my spot first thing.
going4it
I just sat in the truck while he tried to start it for 10 min this morning. 100 pulls at least. Also drips oil all over too. Several times it wouldn't punch through at the bottom.
Love2Cabin
Well that certainly does not sound like a Honda. I thought that the Honda's were self contained on the oil and most other Honda products start on 1 or 2 pulls.
HardwaterHero
Try starting it when its below -10 degrees. I had one so i know. -17 degrees and it took 30 pulls. when it does start, you have to let it run the full 2 mins. I returned mine and went back to the 2 stroke. Maybe i had a dud, but I'm sure happy i got the Solo lazer pro 10". Little loud, but it has more power and starts on ice cold days. Still a Strikemaster fan. just my 2 cents. Love2Cabin
Thanks for the updates. Sounds like I should just stay with the one I got. At least until we find out about next years model.
