blackdog1101
I was surprised to see cedar waxwings and robins in my trees yesterday. I think of them as spring and summer birds. But after looking at the Cornell University HSOforum I see they both winter in our area. I didn't know that. My trees were bristling with the cedar waxwings most of the morning, and then they left. There were only 2 robins that I saw. I also got this picture of the red belly this morning. Nothing special, just thought it was a nice picture. Todd Caswell
Nice that seems to be the thing with the waxwings, here today and gone tommoro. I have seen 3 very large groups in the two weeks when didn't have a camera with, and then went back a day later and there no where to be found.. brushwolf
I love the pic of the robin..especially this time of the year or in early spring when they first return...sadly, I take them for granted during the summer months..like a lot of other birds. Shane683
I had a nice surprise visitor on the 24th - a Pileated Woodpecker. I've never seen one here before. He was really working over my old apple tree.
