schmoe147
If he can say "Flag UP" he can go in my book. Couldnt agree more. I say take them as young as possible, I know of people that have brought there kids who are under 2 and I have no problem with that. The DNR always says to start kids out young !! silverbulletguy
I'm planning on taking my little guy(will turn 3 in May) out this winter. After I set the hook he reeled in a 9 inch bass from a local dock and after I took it off the hook and he lipped it and released it this past August at roughly 2 years and 3 months. He can identify a sunfish, crappie and walleye when watching TV. While he is still young, I want to get him involved in something other than TV or computer and the games that go with them. If that means I'm fishing with his "Cars" rod WITH him so be it. Quality time with my mini me and mommy gets a little free time too. That's what I call winning.
