StrikeMaster (Mora Blue) Hand Augers

I have tha chance to buy two Strikemaster 7-inch (Mora blue) hand augers and a new set of blades for $35 on a local web listing service. The blades look good. I want to get a hand auger for early ice.

Is this a good deal? Are these augers any good? What else should I look out for?

that's a pretty good deal, considering $35 is a good deal for one. Do they come with three sets of blades total? Pop on the new ones and take the others to a blade exchange.

That was my first auger. Bought for about $35 new. It's a great auger for early ice. It's not a nils, but it's also not an auger competition either. Keep the blades sharp.

It's not the auger for a foot and half of ice.

I think they are very good for early ice and cut good if in good shape. The only thing that I no of that could be bad is if the blade pitch is off

Sharpe blades are the ticket I have one and it is great for early ice. good luck
