The river isn't a place where you show up in the dark and try to navigate unfamiliar waters. Any spot suggestions you get will be in heavily pressured areas. I would find a landing, scout, and then hunt the next morning or evening.

Well my final hunt on the river was a letdown mallard wise, the low water made areas freeze up that don't normally. Plenty of bluebills, goldeneyes and ganses though. How did it go for the rest of you?
