boat winch

I'm a new boat owner and was wondering...I need to replace the winch that pulls the boat onto the trailer. Anyway it's a 16' flat bottom aluminum bass tracker.What pound size should I get? Thanks, Coon

Do you know the weight of your boat?

I would go 1,600# minimum.

Just get the higher weight one the cost isn't that much more and the higher weight ones crank alot easier....

I think it would depend a bit on whether you have rollers or a bunk trailer. I would also get one with a strap on it rather than a rope.

I think mine was 2000# for a 14' jon boat. Way overkill, but it's easy to crank
